A dream to wear, but...

I purchased these at a local boutique in the Chili color and loved them so much that I ordered the Olive from this website. They are SO COMFY and breezy. I maybe could have sized down, but took my usual Medium. The stretchy waistband is a dream (feels like pajamas), love the pockets, and the leg openings are nice and loose. Just a really wonderful summer piece and they are absolutely my favorite shorts. A perfect balance of comfy and cute.

However, I am knocking off a star for the hem/cuff. The Chili pair I bought locally has some sewing (four anchor points, one at each side seam and one on the front and back) that are supposed to keep the hem cuffed. If they are washed and then laid flat to dry, the cuff still looks great, but if you do anything involving sitting with a sweaty butt, the cuffs get kind of wilty and fold down a bit; it makes the shorts look sloppy. The Olive pair I got from the website had zero anchor points, so the cuff does not stay cuffed at all. You could wear them uncuffed I suppose, but they're not nearly as cute.

I am unsure why one pair had those points sewn in and the other didn't, but I took both pairs to my tailor to have the cuffs sewn down so they don't move. I am not thrilled about incurring an extra cost, but it means the shorts are now perfect, so I am still reasonably happy!
