Anek Zipola

Because of family problems, Zipola and her siblings were left to live alone as a child-headed family. Without adult direction or provision, their lives were incredibly difficult. During the war, Zipola and her siblings were constantly on the run to avoid the LRA. Life has changed a great deal for Zipola since she began working for KK Uganda. She can now afford to meet her basic needs and to take care of her child. She is proud of her new skills and of the products she makes.

DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE

I dream to go back to school in the near future. I also hope to buy a plot of land and build myself a house.

WHAT MAKES CROCHETING ENJOYABLE

Crocheting allows me to earn money and this is a skill that I will never lose.

INTERESTS & HOBBIES

My most enjoyable activities are watching movies and singing gospel songs.
