A Different Kind of Holiday Tradition

This fall we traveled to India to visit with some of the fair trade partners who produce all of our apparel (view a recap post from the trip HERE). It was a special time to make connections and get an intimate understanding of what production looks like in the Fair Trade Certified facilities we partner with.

Even more, we were excited to get to know the very people who are responsible for making KNOWN SUPPLY products come to life. We exist to celebrate the people who make our clothing, as well as those who wear it. In order to showcase this, we hosted a very special ceremony to show the important connection between you (our supporters) and the makers of our products.

Here's how it went down...

We coordinated with the management to stop production and bring the entire workforce to a meeting (this is no small task for a production facility BTW). From there, we brought up a number of the makers who work as a part of the sewing lines who produce KNOWN SUPPLY products and we read them individual notes written by our customers! The women we featured had no idea this would be taking place, and they were so honored to hear these notes written by you all!

Write a note & we will donate $5

While this event was very meaningful, we didn't want the fun to stop there. To further the positive impact of the words written to the makers of our clothing we are going to be donating $5 for every thank you note we receive between now and the end of the year. The funds will in turn be donated to the Community Development Funds of our various partners as an even greater support of all they want to accomplish.

Here's how to get involved...

1) Find the signature tag on your KNOWN SUPPLY product.

2) Visit makers.knownsupply.com to search for the maker of your item.

3) Write them a note saying "thanks" or any other kind thing.

You're purchases matter, but your words of gratitude are a positive connection that can create an even greater impact.
