KNOWN SUPPLY in India
We built KNOWN SUPPLY to transform the apparel industry by making it more human. By honoring makers and connecting more shoppers to the people who produce their clothing, we believe fashion will begin to recognize the value of humans at every step in the process. That being said, our approach has always been two-fold… We work bottom-up, equipping individual shoppers with education and the power to make a difference through their purchases. We also work top-down, embedding ourselves in the very institutions that make the apparel industry work. Through product collaborations and factory partners we are helping to shape the industry from the inside. In this way, we are excited to announce our latest production partner that will help to bring greater scale and reach to our mission. In addition to our production facilities in Uganda and Peru, we will now be making KNOWN SUPPLY in India as well! We have partnered with Bestitch Knits -- a Fair Trade Certified™ producer of knit and woven apparel for men and women. In true KNOWN SUPPLY fashion we have worked with them to create unprecedented transparency for our product, introducing you to the individual makers who will be crafting each of our products. The more all of us band together in our belief that people matter, the more we will see the fashion industry value the people produce its wears.
